A great time was had by all who attended this year’s barbecue at the Hiller on Sun. Sept. 25, 2016. The food was fantastic and included tri-tips, chicken, baked beans, cornbread, salad, cold drinks and dessert. If you couldn’t make it this time, plan on attending next year. You’re sure to enjoy yourself.

Thanks to the Hiller Museum for allowing us to use their back patio and ramp display area, and to the Hiller Museum staff for their assistance. Thanks to all the Bay Area weather forecasters who brought us a nice afternoon for our event.

Thanks to Curt Nehring for organizing the event. Jerry Grainger and Michael Baum patiently took attendance at the door. Carol Ford brought brownies for dessert. Kelly and Terry Cross arranged for the food and drinks. Debbie Dewey and Jon Hull assisted Curt in coordinating aircraft ground movement. The Airport office and tower arranged short-term closures of taxiway Juliet so that planes could be safely brought in and out of he Hiller’s display ramp.

Tom Bria brought his V-tail Bonanza, Bob Leuten showed his Decathalon, including a brand new GTX345 ADS-B transponder. Bill O’Connell showed his Swift. Adam Jones showed his Bellanca CruiseMaster.

Finally, thanks to all the SCAPA members who joined us to make this an enjoyable event!

Tom Bria kindly provided the following pictures of the event. If you didn’t make it this time, please plan to join next year.
