Over 150 kids and their chaperones from the Coastside Children’s Program attended the 6th annual Kids’ Day at the Airport on July 30, 2008. The San Carlos and Half Moon Bay Pilot Associations jointly sponsored this year’s event at Half Moon Bay Airport and also provided transportation and lunch for the kids and chaperones. The day was a big hit with the kids and included hands-on interactive displays of a variety of aircraft, helicopters and emergency equipment. Thanks to all the local pilots and aircraft owners who volunteered their time and resources, this field-trip was both fun and educational for the kids and helped promote their future interest in aviation and aviation careers.
