A huge round of applause and appreciation is due to everyone who contributed to the Kids Day at the Airport event on Wed. July 20, 2011. On behalf of the Half Moon Bay Pilots and SCAPA, we would like to express our deepest thanks to everyone for their dedication and effort in making the day memorable for a lot of children. A dedicated corps of volunteers, under the direction of Dave Duffy, turned in a superb performance that brought together aircraft and aviators from around the Bay Area to provide lifelong pro-aviation memories for kids from the Coastside Childrens summer camp.
In just a few short years some of these kids could be part of the incoming class at the Air Force Academy or a local flight school. SCAPA is pleased to have contributed a small part of the background that may lead them in either direction.
