The SFO Noise Abatement Office recently provided a real-time flight tracking application on their web site. Even though the data seem to be delayed by about ten minutes, the output is fascinating.
If you’re interested, give it a try. But be forewarned, our laptop could not display the graphics but our desktop PC worked great.
VOLANS is a web-based application designed to display flight operations in 3D. The application is capable of showing aircraft operations in the bay area from San Francisco, Oakland, San Jose and numerous general aviation airports.
