Today, October 10, Runway 30/12 at San Carlos Airport reopened after a month-long closure. The runway reopened one day earlier than scheduled.

The runway and connector taxiway pavement work is finished, and LED taxiway lights and guidance signs have been installed.

Due to supply issues, the existing incandescent runway lights were reinstalled and will be replaced with LED fixtures early next year.

The runway markings are temporary and will be finalized in approximately 30 days. We will provide advance notice for the brief runway closure to finalize the runway markings.

The runway may look different due to the temporary markings and much wider shoulders. However, the runway width and length remain the same.

Thank you for your patience during the SQL closure for runway improvements.
